What do our students say about the course?

Hi friends, I would like to share my impressions of my Dutch language courses at Ecole. To tell you the truth, initially Dutch seemed to me something mysterious and a bit scary. But thanks to the wonderful teachers at Ecole, the language turned into a fascinating discovery for me. Each lesson was a real adventure. We delved into grammar, immersed ourselves in new vocabulary and, most importantly, began to communicate in Dutch. I remember doubting my abilities at the beginning of the course. But thanks to my teacher, I learned not to be afraid of making mistakes, because it is through them that we grow and learn. I would like to thank Ecole so much for this incredible learning experience and for opening new doors to a new culture and opportunities. If you are thinking about learning Dutch, I highly recommend Ecole. Don't miss your chance!

Fate brought me to the Netherlands because of the war in Ukraine, and when I came here I understood almost nothing. The courses at Ecole became a real salvation for me. I am amazed at how effective it turned out to be. We did not just study grammar and vocabulary, but actively communicated in Dutch. My teacher is a real professional. Now I can communicate with the locals, understand their conversations and participate in social life. It helps me to feel less of a stranger in this country and I am very grateful to Ekol for this journey.

I am just in awe of the Dutch courses at Ecole! I started learning this language because I fell in love with Amsterdam's canals and decided that it was just bad form to communicate with locals without Dutch. I have now reached A2 level and plan to go to Amsterdam next year. It was a cool experience and I recommend it to anyone thinking of starting out in the world of Dutch

Frequently asked Questions

Dutch is similar to German and English, since they all belong to the Germanic language group. In Dutch, German and English have common roots and words, as well as some similar grammatical structures.

However, each of these languages has its own unique pronunciation features, grammar and vocabulary. For example, Dutch is closer to English in vocabulary, but has unique phonemes and grammatical features.

It’s the same language. The difference between Dutch and Dutch has to do with terminology. They represent the same language, officially called “Dutch”.

Word “Dutch” often used for dialects and variants of this language, mainly in the northern provinces of the Netherlands. However, in a more general sense “Dutch” covers standard literary language, which is also used in the Netherlands, and in Belgium as an official and educational language.

In the Netherlands the official language and the most widely used language is Dutch.

This language is the official language of the Netherlands and is used in all areas of society, including education, government, business communications and mass media. In some regions of the Netherlands and in Belgium dialects of the Dutch language are used, but standard Dutch is still the main one.

For successful adaptation and integration in the Netherlands learn Dutch better, than relying only on English.

Dutch is widely used in everyday life, communicating with local residents, searching for work in local companies and studying in Dutch educational institutions.

No matter, How well do locals speak English?, knowledge of Dutch will be of great importance for full adaptation in the country.

For most people, learning English may seem easier. English grammar is considered less complex than Dutch.

Dutch can be more difficult, especially if you are learning it from scratch, and you haven’t studied Germanic languages (German for example). But that doesn’t mean, that you can’t learn Dutch, with our teachers, you can easily cope with this task.
